Our Mission
The Agency supports individuals with disabilities and their families in living, learning and working within their communities by creating multiple pathways to possibilities.

To help people with disabilities find and maintain employment and enhance their independence.
To become the first place people with disabilities turn when seeking employment and a top resource for employers in need of qualified employees.

Autism Speaks is dedicated to creating an inclusive world for all individuals with autism throughout their lifespan. We do this through advocacy, services, supports, research and innovation, and advances in care for autistic individuals and their families.

We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential and accomplish the American Dream. Our approach is simple yet powerful – we foster community collaboration between the public and private sector, faith-based communities, and nonprofits, to break down traditional community silos. By doing so, we maximize resources and uncover opportunities for good people to help Floridians in need.

The Centers serve both children and adults of all levels of intellectual functioning who have autism spectrum disorders, dual sensory impairments, or sensory impairments with other disabling conditions recognized by Florida’s Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD). A constituency board comprised of family members representing persons with autism and related disabilities meets quarterly with Center staff to provide guidance on policies, priorities and activities.
